Ferritin is a protein and the primary form of iron stored inside cells.
A positive result means that ferritin concentration in blood is lower than 20ng/mL and a possible iron deficiency.

Microalbumine is a protein which should not be present in urines of normal population.
When it is present in urines, this means the kidney is not working properly.
The test is very easy to run and is available in 2 versions:

a) semi-quantitative strip
The test is a simple strip which, after immersion in urines, gives in less than 10 minutes a semi quantitative result with a line the presence of microalbumine in the sample and also discriminating between the two reference concentrations of 10 ( borderline ) and 20 ( high ) micrograms / ml urine.

b) qualitative strip with plastic handling

This version is very user friendly and, after test immersion in urines, indicates in 5 to 10 min. the presence/absence of microalbumin with a cut off of 18 mcg/ml urine.
No instruments are needed for these tests.

2 combinations are available:

1) blood, leukocytes, proteins, nitrites, glucose and ketone: this composition is widely used as it detects both urinary tract infections and metabolic stress: diet, sport excess, diabetes, fasting.

2) PH, glucose, proteins, blood, leukocytes, nitrites: this composition has pH instead of ketone, so it is used to see if there is any metabolism, kidney or infection problem.
The test is simply performed by immerging shortly the strip into urines and then after 2 minutes waiting, comparing the colors of the pad swith those of a color chart.
