Tests for home, self use

This line list the tests for detection of Bacteria and Parasites by checking for the presence of specific Antibodies in human blood.

LYME: specific Borrelia Ab test in finger tip blood after tick bite
Certificates: CE self test certificate issued by Notify Body, CE conformity certificate for professional use

Lyme disease is the most common tick-borne disease in the Northern Hemisphere.
Borrelia
is transmitted to humans by the bite of infected ticks belonging to a few species of the genus Ixodes ( "hard ticks" ).
Early symptoms may include fever, headache, fatigue, depression, and a characteristic circular skin rash called erythema migrans ( EM ).
Left untreated, later symptoms may involve the joints, heart, and central nervous system. In most cases, the infection and its symptoms are eliminated by antibiotics, especially if the illness is treated early so a rapid test able to detect the immunoreaction to Borrelia is an important tool to support diagnosis and therapy.

The rapid test allows to measure in minutes, on site,  in fingertip blood, the immunization level of the person before vaccination or after a risk episode.
The test is available for both humans and animals ( see also our VET catalogue ).

MALARIA: specific Malaria falciparum Ag test in finger tip blood   new
Certificates:  CE conformity certificate

Malaria remains one of the most serious tropical diseases in many parts of the world. It is rampant in most areas of the tropics. Malaria is caused by a parasite that is transmitted from one person to person by the bite of infected Anopheles mosquitoes.
The test allows detection of the Plasmodium falciparum presence  on site, in fingertip blood drop, without instrumentation and in minutes.

TETANUS: specific Chlostridium tetani Ab test in finger tip blood
Certificates: CE self test certificate issued by Notify Body, CE conformity certificate for professional use

Clostridium tetani bacteria are found in dust and animal faeces.
Infection may occur after minor injury ( sometimes unnoticed punctures to the skin that are contaminated with soil, dust or manure ) or after major injuries such as open fractures, dirty or deep penetrating wounds, and burns.
Immunization protects against tetanus, so people with low immunization levels mostly in poor countries, children and young adults are particularly at risk.
The rapid test allows to measure in minutes, on site,  in fingertip blood, the immunization level of the person before vaccination or after a risk episode.
The test is available for both humans and animals ( see also our VET catalogue ).
