An easy screening test to detect hypothyroidism.
It can be performed at home on fingertip blood in only 10 min.

A positive result means a TSH concentration over the cut-off of  5 μIU/mL which indicates an under active thyroid.
It is suggested to be used when having symptoms such as feeling tired and lethargic, weight gain, dry skin and brittle hair, becoming forgetful and sometimes depressed, feeling cold etc. for an easy screen of thyroid function.
In case of positive result, a visit is a "must" together with other tests to do.
